It’s hard not to feel like there’s magic in the air during the Christmas season, and even the president and first lady get into the holiday spirit! Eager to ring in the season, First Lady Jill Biden debuted her White House Christmas decorations on Monday, November 29, right after Thanksgiving Weekend. Many of the decorations included yuletide classics, like stockings, presents and tinsel. The color themes included a stunning gold, blue and white hallway in addition to little nooks done up in classic red and green. The First Lady shared photos of her décor on Twitter, and she noted that she wanted to reflect some of the values that the holiday season is all about. “Inspired by the acts of kindness and experiences that lifted our spirits this year, decorated rooms in the White House reflect the Gifts from the Heart that unite us all: faith, family, friendship, the arts, learning, nature, gratitude, service, community, peace, and unity,” she wrote in a tweet with the announcement.
