Can bondage actually make you feel freer than every before? ‘BONDiNG,’ arriving on Netflix on April 24, explores the notion of power while telling the story of Tiff (Zoe Levin) and Pete (Brendan Scannell), as seen here at the ‘BONDiNG’ screening in Los Angeles on April 22, 2019. Pete, a newly outed gay man, reconnects with his former high school friend, only to discover that she’s one of the most popular dominatrixes in New York City. As Tiff’s assistant, Pete explores his newly public persona, while she comes to terms with her double life as a grad student/sex worker. To top it all, the show is loosely based on the real-life experiences of its creator, Rightor Doyle (‘Barry,’ ‘You’re The Worst.’) The show focuses on the constraints of power, the freedom of shedding it, and the strength found within friendship.
