Lucy Hale & Joel Crouse Engaged?
The (adorable) picture seemed to be clear enough — it showed Lucy planting a huge kiss on Joel’s cheek and lovingly wrapping her left arm around his neck. And dangling from that left arm was her ring finger, which was clearly sporting a big rock.
Fans immediately sprang into action at the sight of the ring, and their shock was understandable since Lucy hadn’t publicly confirmed her relationship with Joel until that point. And now she was going from being in a brand new relationship to being engaged?
But a photograph is worth a thousands words — and sometimes they’re lies. If you look closer at Lucy’s picture, you can see that the words on her and Joel’s shirts are backwards. This means that the photo was flipped, which means that isn’t Lucy’s left hand, it’s her right. Bottom line — no engagement.

What a huge misunderstanding! Though we are happy to see Lucy and her country singer boyfriend finally come out as a couple. The two stars were first spotted out together in April when they went to a Los Angeles Lakers basketball game together. They then stepped out for a lunch date in early May in Los Angeles.
“They are seeing each other,” a source told Us Weekly at the time. “It isn’t anything serious just yet.”
Well it’s at least looks a little more serious now — but we still don’t think a real engagement is coming any time soon.
