So tragic! Former Disney star Tiffany Thornton has been left devastated by the sudden death of her beloved husband Chris Carney. HollywoodLife.com has learned EXCLUSIVELY how the actress is dealing with her husband's passing. Tiffany Thornton is beside herself with grief after her 35-year-old husband Chris Carney died alongside a friend in a single car accident near their home in Hot Springs, Arkansas on Dec. 4. The couple has two small children together and the former Sonny With A Chance star is still trying to wrap her head around her sudden loss, which comes on the heels of the death of her best friend. HollywoodLife.com has the EXCLUSIVE details on how Tiffany is coping.
“Everyone in the family including Tiffany are devastated,” a source tells HollywoodLife.com EXCLUSIVELY, adding that with Chris’ sudden passing, “It really hasn’t sunk in yet and it doesn’t seem real.” The So Random! star married Chris in 2011 in a ceremony attended by close pals including Demi Lovato and Wilmer Valderrama. Demi was even a bridesmaid, wearing a beautiful purple dress to honor her friend. The couple have two young sons, Kenneth James “KJ,” 3, and Bentley Cash, 21 months.
Chris was a former member of the rock band The Prom Kings, and later went on to work in a career as a probation officer in Hot Springs municipal court. Just last week Tiffany posted a happy selfie of herself and Chris sitting in the stands at a college football game to cheer on the Texas A&M Aggies against Vanderbilt.
Chris was the passenger in a white SUV driven by pal Ezekiel Blanton, who was also killed in the wreck when the vehicle failed to negotiate a curve and struck a tree. This is the second tragic loss for Tiffany, as her best friend Brittany Blanton recently passed away. It’s unclear if Brittany and Ezekiel were related.
Tiffany wrote on her Instagram the morning before Chris’ death that, “I keep thinking this can’t be real. One of my very best friends is gone and the place she holds in my heart will never be filled. Brittany was one of the coolest people I’ve ever known, filled with the loudest and most contagious laughter, a huge heart, a beautiful smile and an unbelievable faith in others that not a lot of people have. It was such a blessing having her stand by me in my wedding and I was honored to stand by her in hers.” Now Tiffany’s lost her husband as well as her best pal. SO heartbreaking!
